GRIZZLY BEAR

La banda indie-avant garde DIRTY PROJECTORS, el artista electro-thrash SLEIGH BELLS, y los soleados-post punks BEST COAST se unirán a GRIZZLY BEAR y DINOSAUR JR. como headliners para el Pygmalion Music Festival 2012, el cual tendrá lugar en Setiembre 27-29, 2012 en Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.

El reconocido festival, ahora en su octavo año, tendrá como protagonistas los actos más notables incluyendo Cloud Nothings, Tennis, Hospitality, Willis Earl Beal, Frankie Rose, Big Freedia and The Divas, Lord Huron, Julia Holter, Eternal Summers, Laetitia Sadier, Craft Spells, Owen, Oh No Oh My, Zeus y más.

Los boletos de función simple están programados a ponerse en oferta a fines de mes; los pases del festival estan actualmente en oferta y casi agotados. Más artistas serán anunciados después en verano.

DIRTY PROJECTORS

This year the festival will be improving upon its new model of incorporating outdoor shows into its already established history of presenting artists in the best venues around Champaign and Urbana. Whereas last year saw the festival’s first ever outdoor concert for the Polyvinyl Records’ 15 Year Anniversaryparty as a huge success, this year will see an even bigger and broader approach to the weekend. Pygmalion will be presenting not just one, but TWO major outdoor events in 2012. On Friday night, Downtown Urbana will play host to Krannert Center for the Performing Arts’ outdoor stage with Dirty Projectors taking center stage. Original festival venue stalwart, The Canopy Club, will be home to the Opening Night show with Sleigh Bells, as well as the late show on Friday with Best Coast. On Saturday, all day, Downtown Champaign will take center stage, hosting another all day outdoor show, with both Grizzly Bear and Dinosaur Jr. set to anchor the show.. In 2012, the outdoor Saturday concert will feature over 12 acts on two stages, against the gorgeous backdrop of an energized Midwestern small college city.

BEST COAST

Este año la festival estará superando su nuevo modelo de incluir funciones al aire libre, dentro de esta ya establecida historia de presentar a artistas en los mejores lugares alrededor de Champaign y Urbana. Mientras que el año pasado vio el primer concierto del festival al aire libre del Polyvinyl Records’ 15 Year Anniversary con un éxito enorme, este año verá un enfoque más grande y más amplio para el festival de fin de semana. Pygmalion estará presentando no solo uno, sino dos eventos al aire libre muy importantes este 2012. El viernes por la noche, en el centro Urbana tocarán el anfitrión en el escenario al aire libre del Krannert Center for the Performing Arts with Dirty Projectors, tomando el escenario del centro. El lugar original del festival The Canopy Club, estará en casa para la apertura del show de la noche con Sleigh Bells, así como tambien el show final el viernes con Best Coast. El sábado, todo el día, en el Downtown Champaign tomará el escenario central, ofreciendo otro día completo de función al aire libre, con Grizzly Bear y Dinosaur Jr. coronando este festival. En 2012, el sábado concierto al aire libre tendrá como protagonista más de 12 actos en dos escenarios.

Los pases del festival garantizan la admisión a cada función en el festival, dependiendo de las limitaciones de capacidad. Los boletos simples para cada función estarán también disponibles.
